High Elves vs Tomb Kings
Thanks VaulSC for another great replay. Checkout http://www.youtube.com/user/VaulSC for more great replays.

Dwarf Flesh
Washing is my new love. The best use for pre-made washes has been models where you can see the face. It completely brings the model out in a new dimension when you add a layer of shadow.

Street Fighter 2 - Guile

Second Dreadnought
At some point many years ago I spray painted my Dreadnought blue. Now with my new wash skills I have added a layer of shadows. I think this look much better now for highlights. This should be fun.

Wet Brushing
You have probaly heard of dry brushing before but now I have discovered a brand new technique. I call it wet brushing. It happened almost accdentaly, having just mixed my white paint with water I had lots of paint left over on my mixing stick that I did not want to waste so I took my wet brush out of the water pot and dried it off a bit then wiped some of the paint off the stick. I did the same thing as I do with dry brushing but just left the paint a bit more wet this was the result. A battle worn speeder.

Second Marine
I am also started working on my tactical squad. I used lots of paint mixing and watered down my paints for this model. My highlighting is still kind of random but I think it turned out ok.

My First Wash
I went to the hobby store and dropped $4 on my first wash. It just hard paying $4 for something so small. Now I am finally going to be able to paint my Dwarfs Faces. Much washing soon to come.

Crystal Base
This would be a cool base for a high elf sorcerers or something like that. I had a great time painting it. The more I paint the easier it gets. Give me some feedback. Do you guys like this set of posts I am doing?

Second Generator
I know I say this every time but I think this is now my favorite capture point I have painted so far. I just love the concept of capturing a power generator. It would be cool if there was some type of resource gathering mechanic in the game. Kind of like there is in the RTS computer game Dawn Of War.

Crystal Capture Point
I don’t know how many of you our there have ever played the game Starcraft but this crystal reminded me some something from the game. You can use this as a node to capture or as part of the terrain on the board.

Power Generator
This was one of the capture points from the set below. I wanted to keep the theme dark and industrial for this set so I did not add to much color. I think this is going to look great on the battle field.

Capture Points and Crystals
My next set I am going to paint is a series of capture points and crystal bases. This is some of the cooler markers I have seen out there. I would like to play a game using them.

This blog is a project I am conducting documenting my experience of learning how to play and paint Warhammer Fantasy with my wife. I hope to post how much I spend, what I buy, and my wife's reactions. We will unbox everything together. I hope this blog will provide insight into how this all works and also encourage others to make their loved ones a part of what they enjoy.
