Breath of Fire 2 - YouMustDance

Magnetization Complete
After few days of toying around I finally put the magnets into his arms. I really like how this has turned out. The thing I like most is how easy it was. I hope my picture sets have given you an Idea of how I did it.

Starting Magnetization
I took my hack-saw and cut my poor Dreadnought in half. I also stuck a couple of small magnets in the two parts and Wa-Lahh we have a portable Dreadnought. I just took a few shoots showing you the finished result.

First Round Of Painting
I started with what seemed would be the easiest thing to paint. The crystals. I was able to do both very quickly. All I did was primer them black then coat them blue then dry brush them white. I think They turned out well.

I want to thank Armorcast for sending over some of its products for my review.

If you would like to buy some Crystals from them Checkout This Page.

Mr. Lux Googies
I had another wonderful tea season with Mr. Lux at Aroma’s in Santa Rosa, CA. As you can see briefly from the picture above, Mr. Lux has hooked me up. I am particularly excited about painting the altar, which was of course sculpted by Mr. Lux himself. More Painting soon to come. =D

Great Video Vaul
Find the second part of this video and more like it at his Vauls youtube page.

Scout #2
I can’t say I am in love with the way his friend turned out but I can use him on the table top. I am going to try dry brushing the whole model first next time and see how that works.

Panting Dreadnought
I think I like the new paint job 100% more then old one. We will see where this goes. The plan is just to keep it simple. I wanr to magnetize his arms but I don’t have any close combat Arms.

Dreadnought Reborn
After another 2 days in the tube and some more scrubbing this is my result. Maybe a 6.5/10 . I am not to worried about it I think anything will look better then when it was just blue all over. I will take more pictures when I start to paint him up.

Crystal Theme - Final Fantasy X

Long Road
One of the first Space Marin models I bought was a second hand Dreadnought. Now over ten years later I find that it was a bootleg unit casted by some guy at home. This unit you see has about 4 layers of paint. Cleaning this models is going to take a few dips in simple green. So far so good.

Scout
This morning I painted up one of the scouts. I used only a few colors and left most of him just black. I think they look better if I don’t try to paint detail. When I get better at detail maybe I will give it a try.

Make Your Own Ink
I don’t know about you but for me doing the face of a model is my least favorite part. If the face of a model looks off it messes up the whole model. I wanted to put some darker ink on the face of my scouts to make them look a bit deeper. I have not bought any ink so I made my own. I just got scorched brown mixed some dish soup and water in until it was very watery then I just dabbed on a bit. here is what I got.

Armorcast Base
This base was one that Mr.Lux sculpted. This is my first terrain base I have painted up. I think it has turned out pretty good. it took me about ten minuets from start to finish.

First Terrain Piece - On The Cheap
Making terrain is usually time consuming and buying it cost lots of money. Here is a great way to get started with some great looking terrain on the cheap. This house took me maybe 20 minutes to print , cut out, and glue together.

This blog is a project I am conducting documenting my experience of learning how to play and paint Warhammer Fantasy with my wife. I hope to post how much I spend, what I buy, and my wife's reactions. We will unbox everything together. I hope this blog will provide insight into how this all works and also encourage others to make their loved ones a part of what they enjoy.
